RESEARCH THEMES

A lecturer since 2017, I am specialized in the areas of climatology and sedimentary geochemistry.

I am interested in the sedimentological, mineralogical and geochemical characterization of the inorganic fraction of sediments that are deposited via the atmosphere (mineral dusts) or via water in the oceans and lakes; I have a particular interest in the climatic, environmental and anthropic information that these particles can provide.

Most of my fieldwork concentrates on the coast of West Africa, (from southern Morocco to the Gulf of Guinea) but I also contribute to other projects focused on the Mediterranean, the margins of the north-eastern Atlantic and the north-western tropical Atlantic and the subtropical Pacific (Easter Island).

These different studies vary in terms of the time periods they cover, from the present-day (seasonal, inter-annual and event scales) to longer term climate variations (millennial to orbital scales).
