Co-responsible for the mineralogy and microscopy instrument platform, I operate four pieces of equipment within this platform: X-ray diffractometer, laser granulometer, thermo-gravimetric analyser, scanning electron microscope. My work involves training and advising lab personnel on the use of these techniques, guiding them in their choice and optimizing the conditions of analysis as a function of the scientific problems posed. Along with my colleagues, we manage equipment schedules, carry out first-level maintenance and provide external services within the PANOPLY framework.

I specialize in the complete process of clay sample preparation and analysis: from the taking of samples from cores, to the communication of XRD and laser granulometry results and including all of the steps in between, i.e. chemical preparation, the use of instruments, the deconvolution of the diffraction peaks obtained.
